Latest new animations for Annie! Cosmo Cutter, the running attack, the Sagan Buster, her get up animation, and a winpose(?)
some Annie height changes and her finished blockbuster
Hey everyone! Spacewhale here for this week’s update. I finished Annie’s basic chain combos! Whooooooo!!!! As well as two special moves, Crescent Cut and Galaxy Cutter! Yeah!
You may be thinking, what’s with the second version of Crescent Cut? The answer is simple: Annie has EX Moves!
"EX Moves? What in the hell are those?"
Annie’s version of EX Moves are dubbed “Cosmic Moves” they enhance Annie’s special moves in various different ways, as seen from above, Cosmic Crescent Cut fires out two projectiles rather than just one. Cosmic Moves are done by pressing Attack + Special, and the special move command.
Fight, Annie! For everlasting peace!
untz untz I wonder what this song could be for
Q: I still dont get why is Annie bright green and isnt actual color. Is it because copyrights?
A: Annie’s bright green color scheme is simply used as NES working colors, you will be able to switch from the NES palette to the accurate one (as well as many other palettes!) in the game.
Q: In an old, old mock screenshot, Annie and Anais have a staredown in “New Meridian.” The tiles for said mock screen are from Fake-Man’s stage in Mega Man 9. Is it still the case that some or all of the tiles for AotS will be borrowed?
A: That mock screenshot was made just to show off Anais, all tiles for the game will be original.
Q: Would this game appeal to Mega Man fans in its playstyle? Obviously, Annie isn’t going to handle the same way Mega Man would, but would she still feel “natural,” like she would belong in a Mega Man game?
A: I think the game would definately appeal to Mega Man fans. Annie is intended to play similar to Zero from the X series. Although Annie does have a projectile weapon in the game, Annie’s main way of attacking is getting up close to enemies and taking them down with chain combos, which also works similar to Zero.
Hey hey everyone. This week’s update is a big announcement!
I, Lumenatebit, and juju_for_president are both collaborating to write up original and remixed themes for the Annie game soundtrack starting with the intro music embedded above which will also be used to make Annie’s new theme song!
I’m aware many of you are familiar with Kai’s Annie theme, which has become ingrained into the community (having spawned several fan mixes on its own), but we hope this new song will help you capture the idea we, as a team, have for the Annie game’s intro animation (TBA).
As for the song, it is not entirely done being composed. I’ve chosen to omit the percussion track until it’s completed, and lots of other arpeggios are missing in the verse. The overall tone we’re trying to set for this song is “anime-styled intro music”. We hope this is what you can picture as well :)
Check back next week for more information on the Annie game!
Annie getting wrecked again
all of the damage animations are finished (im proud of the freezing one)
